Software Engineering Team Lead

We're seeking a

Software Engineering Team Lead (Squad Lead) (SaaS Platform)

to guide a cross-functional team of developers and QA engineers in building scalable, secure, and high-performance SaaS and desktop/embedded solutions.

Location & Flexibility

This is a

remote or hybrid role

, and we welcome candidates based in the

UK, Romania OR US (EST).

You'll be working with colleagues across multiple time zones in a truly global and collaborative environment.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role that combines

hands-on development

with

people leadership

. You'll be part individual contributor, part team coach, responsible for technical delivery and team development.

You'll report to the Director of Product Development and work closely with Product Owners, QA leads, and Infrastructure leads.

What You'll Do

Lead by Example:

Provide senior-level hands-on technical contributions using technologies like .NET, React, SQL, Cypress, Reqnroll, and Typescript.

Guide the Team:

Manage, mentor, and grow a cross-functional development team. Conduct regular 1:1s, set career goals, and support professional development.

Own Delivery:

Plan and lead sprint execution. Balance speed, quality, and sustainability to deliver consistent value to customers.

Drive Technical Standards:

Ensure code quality, CI/CD pipeline efficiency, and adherence to security and architectural guidelines.

Collaborate Widely:

Work with Product Owners, QA, Infrastructure, and other squads to align efforts with product and business goals.

Promote a Growth Culture:

Create training plans for each team member and foster a test-and-learn mindset within the team.

What You'll Need

Required:

7+ years of experience in Agile product development teams 2+ years in a senior or lead technical role Proven ability to deliver secure, scalable SaaS and desktop/embedded solutions Expertise with tools like Jira, Git, Azure DevOps, Confluence Strong communication, facilitation, and remote collaboration skills Demonstrated experience mentoring or coaching engineers

Preferred:

Experience working in globally distributed teams Familiarity with test automation frameworks and BDD tools
