Job Description

As a Software Quality and Compliance Lead here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge software products in the Quantum technologies space industry. You'll guide a team of engineers in developing solutions for satellites, ground stations, and network services. Your role will involve driving excellence through innovative quality assurance strategies, collaborating across teams to set and measure standards, enhancing efficiency, and mentoring your team. Your influence will champion data-driven decision-making, foster a culture of quality, and ensure adaptability in a dynamic environment. By setting industry standards and continuously improving processes, you'll contribute significantly to our dedication to delivering exceptional software solutions in the Quantum technologies space industry.




You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Edinburgh, Scotland location.




In this role, you will impact the development of software solutions for satellites, ground stations, and network services in the Quantum technologies space industry, ensuring their quality and reliability.







KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Guide a team of software engineers in the development of software solutions for satellites, ground stations, and network services. Define and implement comprehensive software quality assurance strategies, plans, and processes. Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices to ensure the reliability of our software products. Work with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and metrics. Drive test automation initiatives and increase test coverage through automation. Monitor and analyze software quality metrics to identify areas for improvement. Generate and communicate test reports and quality metrics to stakeholders.

YOU MUST HAVE


Experience in software quality assurance, quality management and compliance Experience in auditing to international Software Quality Standards (EG. ISO27001/9001 Standards) Strong experience in software testing, test planning, test case design, and test execution. Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
