Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through rigorous testing and validation processes. This position requires a strong understanding of software development principles, as well as proficiency in various programming languages and tools.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications. Collaborate with developers to understand application functionality and requirements. Identify, document, and track defects using version control systems such as GitHub. Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain unaffected by new changes. Utilise automation tools to enhance testing efficiency where applicable. Conduct performance and load testing on APIs and application interfaces. Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices in development. Provide feedback on software usability and functionality based on test results.

Requirements

Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, C#, JavaScript, or Ruby on Rails. Experience with RESTful APIs and their integration within applications. Familiarity with software development methodologies and practices. Strong understanding of application development processes. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Previous experience in a software testing role is preferred but not essential.
