Solar Compliance & Operations Manager

to help lead this growth.

The Role



Reporting directly to the

Managing Director

, the

Solar Compliance & Operations Manager

will take ownership of our solar operations and compliance function, ensuring that all installations meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.

This is an

office-based management position

, requiring occasional travel to sites and partners across the UK. You will oversee the operations team, coordinate installation activities, manage logistics, and uphold full compliance with

MCS

,

RECC

, and

NICEIC

standards.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and manage the solar operations and installation coordination team. Oversee the planning and scheduling of employed and subcontracted installation teams (roofers, electricians, scaffolders, and delivery partners). Review installation surveys, completion records, and compliance documentation to ensure the

highest service quality

. Ensure all work meets

MCS

,

RECC

, and

NICEIC

standards and adheres to UK electrical and safety regulations. Manage onboarding of new engineers, ensuring qualifications, insurances, and compliance are verified. Coordinate materials and logistics with our national solar equipment suppliers. Implement and manage van stock control and monitoring systems. Oversee cost control and purchase order management. Use our job management system to track progress, compliance, and quality assurance. Support continuous improvement across installation, compliance, and customer satisfaction processes.

About You



We're looking for an experienced and motivated professional with a strong background in electrical installation and solar operations. You'll be technically knowledgeable, organised, and passionate about maintaining the highest standards of compliance and performance.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:



Electrically qualified (AM2 or Level 3 NVQ).

18th Edition Wiring Regulations

certified.

Inspection & Testing

qualification (2391 or equivalent). Proven experience managing or supervising solar PV operations. Strong understanding of

solar PV systems

and installation best practices. Familiarity with

MCS

,

RECC

, and

NICEIC

requirements. Excellent communication, planning, and leadership skills. Experience using job management or CRM software.

Desirable:



Installation of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems Level 3 qualification

(or equivalent). Previous hands-on experience installing solar PV systems.
