Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled
Solar PV Installation Manager
to oversee all aspects of our solar installations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a blend of technical knowledge, team management, and logistical coordination. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
Lead and coordinate multiple solar PV installation teams, ensuring work is completed on time and to specification.
Technical Support:
Provide on-site and remote technical support to installation teams and customers.
Site Surveys:
Conduct detailed pre-installation site surveys, assess suitability, and produce accurate reports.
Project Coordination:
Order and manage solar PV components and materials, ensuring timely delivery and accurate stock control.
Scaffolding & Logistics:
Coordinate scaffold requirements, deliveries, and site access logistics to ensure smooth installation processes.
Health & Safety:
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Customer Interaction:
Maintain clear and professional communication with customers throughout the installation process.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (essential).
Experienced electrician or solar PV installer (minimum 3 years' experience preferred).
Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical installation, and relevant regulations.
Proven team leadership or site management experience.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and problem-solve under pressure.
Comfortable using mobile apps and software for site reporting and communication.
Desirable:
18th Edition wiring regulations qualification.
ECS Gold Card or equivalent.
Previous experience managing contractors and suppliers.
