Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar & Battery Engineer to join our growing renewable energy team. This role involves nationwide travel to customer sites to deliver high-quality solar PV and battery installation, maintenance, and repair services. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with industry standards, while providing excellent customer service.

Duties



Completing a wide range of on-site solar services, including panel cleaning, system diagnostics, and fault finding. Installing, repairing, and upgrading fuseboards, ensuring compliance with electrical regulations and safety requirements. As a customer-facing position, the engineer must be professional and confident when interacting with customers, clearly explaining works carried out and providing guidance on system operation. Install, commission, and maintain solar PV systems and battery storage solutions in residential and commercial properties Travel nationwide to customer sites to complete installations, servicing, and repair works Connect, configure, and test battery storage systems, inverters, and associated equipment Carry out electrical works including AC/DC wiring, isolators, fuseboards, and consumer unit upgrades Diagnose and rectify system faults, including isolation faults, inverter issues, and battery communication errors Perform voltage, current, and insulation resistance testing to ensure safe and compliant operation Conduct routine system inspections, performance checks, and preventative maintenance Clean and maintain solar panels to maximise system efficiency Identify, install, and repair fuseboard components such as breakers, RCDs, and surge protection devices Ensure all works comply with relevant electrical standards, building regulations, and health & safety requirements Complete job documentation, test certificates, and service reports accurately and on time Communicate professionally with customers, explaining work completed and advising on system use and care Liaise with technical teams, suppliers, and management when required Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe working condition

Qualifications



This role requires a high level of technical competence, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while traveling nationwide. Must have a full UK Driving License
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 140.00-200.00 per day
