We are seeking a dedicated Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing solar energy systems efficiently and safely on various sites. Responsibilities
Assist in the assembly and installation of solar panel systems on residential, commercial, or industrial sites.
Use hand tools and power tools to secure mounting structures and panels accurately.
Operate specialised equipment such as excavators when necessary for site preparation.
Conduct basic welding tasks to ensure secure mounting of components where required.
Perform electrical wiring and connections in compliance with safety regulations and technical specifications.
Ensure all installations meet industry standards, local codes, and safety protocols.
Inspect work areas regularly for hazards, maintaining a clean and organised workspace throughout the project.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while maintaining high quality standards.
Skills
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction and electrical work.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to solar panel mounting systems and structural components.
Experience with excavators or heavy machinery is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided.
Welding skills are desirable for securing structural elements effectively.
Electrical experience or background knowledge is preferred to facilitate wiring tasks safely and correctly.
Strong organisational skills with an emphasis on safety procedures and attention to detail.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining physical stamina.
