is a renewable company. We are looking for an organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Solar Sales Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a reliable team player with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn new skills. You should be able to prioritize your work and be able to manage time effectively. We expect you to be a self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities



The Solar Sales Consultant will focus on converting sales leads, meeting with prospective customers, and closing deals to achieve sales targets. This role involves educating customers on the benefits of solar energy, conducting site assessments, and working closely with the office team to deliver tailored solar solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales in the solar industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement and Consultation: Engage with potential customers to understand their energy needs and financial goals.

Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and energy independence.

Conduct initial consultations, either in person or remotely, to assess the customer's property and suitability for solar installation.

2. Site Assessment and Analysis: Conduct or coordinate site assessments to determine the feasibility of solar installation.

Analyse energy usage, roof condition, shading, and other factors that impact the performance of a solar system.

Use solar design software to create custom solar proposals.

3. Proposal Development and Presentation: Develop customised solar proposals that meet the customer's energy needs and budget.

Present proposals to customers, explaining the technical and financial aspects of the solar system, including expected energy savings, ROI, and financing options.

Address any questions or concerns the customer may have regarding the solar installation process.

4. Sales and Contract Negotiation: Close sales by guiding customers through the contract signing process.

Negotiate terms and conditions to meet both the customer's and company's interests.

Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.

5. Customer Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing communication with customers throughout the sales process.

Develop and nurture long-term relationships with customers to encourage referrals and repeat business.

Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and positive reviews.

6. Market Awareness and Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and technological advancements in solar energy.

Continuously improve product knowledge and sales techniques through training and professional development.

Be aware of competitor activity and market conditions to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

7. Compliance and Ethical Sales Practices: Ensure all sales practices comply with company policies, industry standards (RECC and MCS etc), and relevant laws and regulations.

Maintain high ethical standards in all dealings with customers and colleagues.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year solar sales experience Full UK driving licence, Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and IT literate, Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, Excellent time management skills self-motivated and ability to multi-task and prioritise, High attention to detail, Ability to work independently and as part of a team,
