Duties
Install solar panels and associated electrical components on various types of structures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of existing solar systems to optimise efficiency and performance.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators to prepare sites and install solar infrastructure.
Carry out electrical wiring, testing, and commissioning of solar systems, ensuring all work adheres to relevant electrical codes.
Assist with site assessments, including measuring, surveying, and evaluating potential installation locations.
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and system performance data.
Skills
Experience with hand tools and power tools essential for installation and maintenance tasks.
Mechanical knowledge to understand system components and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Electrical experience necessary for wiring, testing, and system commissioning.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and safety documentation.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance.
