About the Opportunity
We are hiring on behalf of a leading national legal firm seeking to strengthen their Regulatory SHE team. Key Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload of both contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues.
Advise clients on matters involving investigations and prosecutions by the Police, HSE, Local Authorities, Fire Authorities, CQC, Environment Agency, and other regulators.
Prepare submissions under PACE, conduct witness interviews, and provide compliance-related advisory services.
Represent clients in inquests and public inquiries.
Engage in business development activities, including pitches, presentations, and training sessions.
Ensure accurate file and case management in line with internal and client protocols.
Contribute to team and firm-wide knowledge sharing, training, and internal networking.
Maintain CPD requirements and continuously develop legal expertise.
Who We're Looking For
A qualified solicitor/legal director with
10+ years PQE
, ideally in regulatory or commercial practice.
Extensive experience advising on SHE regulatory matters, including:
HSE/Police investigations
Inquests
Interviews under caution
Prosecutions and sentencing hearings
Experience in related areas such as environmental breaches, trading standards, product safety, food safety, or fire safety is highly desirable.
Proven business development experience and ability to build and manage strong client relationships.
A process-driven, commercial mindset with strong drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Willingness to travel at short notice; a driving licence is advantageous.
