Our banking and finance team advises banks, financial institutions and borrowers on all areas of banking and finance including acquisition and leveraged finance, syndicated finance, property investment and development finance as well as renewable energy finance.
The team advises regionally and nationally across a wide range of sectors including sport, hospitality & leisure, renewables, healthcare, real estate and public sector. They are highly regarded and have an excellent reputation in the sector.
The role
We are currently looking for a Solicitor, NQ to 2 years PQE in Banking and Finance to join the team. The role will involve:
Acting for clearing banks as well as other institutional lenders, challenger banks, alternative financiers, high profile corporate borrowers and clients from the public and tertiary sector including, registered social landlords, the Welsh Government, local government and higher education.
Providing advice and representation on all types of banking and finance matters, including but not limited to structured finance, acquisition finance, and real estate finance
Working closely with colleagues from our corporate and commercial, commercial property and construction teams
Drafting simple loan agreements, management of CPs to drawdown, reviewing and approving CP documentation, preparing and issuing standard form security documents
Liaising closely with clients to manage transactions from credit sanction to drawdown
Assisting colleagues with post-completion requirements
Supporting team and wider firm with business development initiatives and events
You will be given the opportunity to develop existing client relationships. You will be supported throughout your career, developing your experience and skills.
Skills & Qualifications
England and Wales qualified lawyer NQ to 2 years post qualified experience acquired at a leading regional, national firm
Experience in other areas of transactional law may be considered, but experience in banking and finance is preferred.
Ability to demonstrate sector knowledge and commercial awareness.
