The Role
At Stephens Scown, we're looking for a talented Regulatory Enforcement & Compliance Solicitor to join a growing team. If you have experience in regulatory or criminal enforcement work and a genuine interest in building client relationships and business opportunities, we want to hear from you.
You'll work on a wide range of contentious regulatory matters, supporting clients in a wide range of sectors involved in business and reputation-critical situations. Your work will include:
Advising clients on regulatory investigations, including those involving the HSE, EA, Food Standards Agency and Trading Standards
Supporting clients following an incident or accident and with interviews under caution an internal investigation
Providing compliance and risk management advice
Working on contentious matters alongside our Commercial Disputes team, offering well-rounded litigation support
Developing a profile within the market by identifying and pursuing new client opportunities
Collaborating closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver integrated legal solutions

About You
A qualified solicitor (0-4 years PQE) with experience in regulatory or criminal enforcement
A strong understanding of investigation, enforcement processes, and criminal procedure
Exposure to or interest in commercial disputes/litigation
Excellent communication, analytical, and client care skills
A genuine interest in business development and growing long-term client relationships
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a desire to build a career in regulatory law
