About you

- You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated solicitor willing to seize the opportunity to develop a role that is new to this Council. You could already be a local government solicitor with experience of advising on and conducting litigation or you could be a solicitor open to the challenge of developing your skills in this area.

About us

- The Council is entering into a federated arrangement with our neighbouring authority Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council. We already share a Joint Chief Executive and as a Legal Team we are starting to explore new ways of working together with our colleagues in Blaenau Gwent. Currently, our experienced Litigation Team support professional colleagues across all parts of the Torfaen County Borough Council to deliver an excellent service to the residents of Torfaen. We want to develop the team to enable us to do the same for Blaenau Gwent. About the role

- This is an exciting opportunity, to work within an experienced team to deliver litigation support and advice. The role may also include the ability to get involved with other areas of work relating to litigation, subject to your experience, career interests and workload capacity.
