Solicitor - Non-Contentious Construction
TSR Legal are currently supporting a well-regarded law firm in Cardiff who are looking to recruit a talented and motivated Solicitor to join the growing non-contentious construction team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a nationally recognised team working with leading developers, contractors, funders, and consultants on a diverse range of high-profile construction and infrastructure projects, working with a leading Partner within the sector.
As a Construction Solicitor, the role will be primarily focused on non-contentious matters, including drafting and negotiating building contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, and related documentation. You will have the opportunity to work closely with Senior Solicitors, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to complex commercial projects.
About You
You will ideally:
- Be a qualified solicitor (NQ-4 PQE) with experience in non-contentious construction law
- Have experience drafting and negotiating standard form and bespoke construction contracts, including JCT and NEC forms
- Be commercially astute and demonstrate a pragmatic, client-focused approach
- Enjoy building strong client relationships and be confident in engaging with clients directly
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be a team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
