We are looking for a competent individual to join Talbots as a Lawyer for our specialist Property Litigation Team, with at least 1 years' experience of property litigation experience.

As a Lawyer, you will be advising on a wide range of disputes, whilst managing own caseload and assisting more senior members of the team on high-value and complex property litigation matters.

What the job involves;



Advising individuals and business clients on a wide range of property disputes to include pre-action and the service of notices, court proceedings and ADR, including opposed and unopposed Commercial lease renewals pursuant to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and the service of section 25 and section 26 notices. Advising and litigating on alienation disputes, break notices, dilapidations, possession claims, rent arrears recovery and forfeiture and 146 notices; Residential Landlord and Tenant disputes, including the service of possession notices, issuing possession proceedings, and enforcement; Dealing with Housing Act 2004 claims to include bringing and defending claims under section 214 of the Housing Act 2004; Bringing and Defending disrepair claims in residential possession cases; Proactively involved in business development activities and to build connections locally with other professionals to include property agents. Ensure compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements.

What you need:



To have at least 1 years qualified experience within property litigation, managing own caseload across a variety of matters. Knowledge of HMO tenancies as well as working competency in in boundary, easement and restrictive covenant disputes. Excellent understanding of the Civil Procedure and navigate around the court rules, competent in making and defending interim applications and conducting their own advocacy. Passionate about giving outstanding client care to clients and referrers with strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
