Cornerstone Children's Homes is recruiting dedicated
Residential Support Workers
to provide one-to-one care for a young person in a solo residential setting in Reading. This role offers a rare opportunity to create a deep and lasting impact during a crucial stage of a young person's life.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver tailored, trauma-informed therapeutic care
Support emotional regulation, mental health challenges, and behaviours of concern
Use de-escalation and physical intervention techniques when necessary (training provided)
Maintain consistent routines and a secure, emotionally safe environment
Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, and independent life skills
Participate in key working sessions and contribute meaningfully to care planning
Work as part of a skilled, supportive, and collaborative team
What We're Looking For
Experience in residential childcare, therapeutic care, or mental health support
Confidence handling complex behaviours with trained intervention strategies
Strong emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
A proactive, reliable approach with excellent teamwork skills
Deep commitment to supporting young people who've experienced trauma or adversity
