Your new role:Join Trident as a Solutions Architect and leverage the opportunity to work within Trident's technical team who create industry-leading technology. You will assist in the design and delivery of scalable and modular pre-press automation solutions for Trident's Global Artwork and CGI production workflows.

Working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, you will support Trident's implementation of our automation strategy and assist in ensuring Trident's solutions are future-ready, secure, and aligned with business goals.

What are the responsibilities of a Solution Architect?



The Solutions Architect is responsible for assisting in the design and delivery of systems based on business requirements, working closely with stakeholders, developers, and operational staff to ensure optimal system performance for end users.

Primary Responsibilities:



Assist in the design of clear, modular, and scalable architectures that support robust and maintainable pre-press automation workflows. Translate business and technical requirements into structured, actionable solution designs. Provide architectural oversight during implementation to catch risks early and reinforce solution integrity. Identify opportunities for system improvement and drive the adoption of best practices across the team. Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, IT & Development, R&D, and Client Services to align technology with business needs. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support knowledge sharing and consistent delivery. Ensure architectural standards support secure, compliant, and high-performance environments. Promote cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement in engineering and workflow practices. Advise on strategic technology decisions and long-term platform evolution. Contribute to the development and governance of integration and data standards across systems.

Who are we looking for?


Essential:



Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Experience working with complex systems and translating requirements into designs.

Knowledge of documentation practices and version control.

Ability to influence cross-functional teams and guide engineers without direct line management.

Desirable but not essential skills:



Proven experience in technical architecture and structured solution design.

Exposure to artwork automation, artwork management systems, and other industry-standard pre-press technologies.

Understanding of PDF workflows and toolkits (e.g. Esko Automation Engine).

Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA.

Qualifications and experience:



GCSE level or equivalent in English and Mathematics (NQF Level 5) required.

Degree or equivalent professional qualifications preferred.

Prior experience delivering systems in automation-heavy or production environments.

Working Hours:

Permanent or fixed term for the right candidate, Full-Time (35 hours per week) 2 days in the office and 3 working from home.
