About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking Solution and Enterprise Architects to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.


Our client is looking for highly experienced Solution and Enterprise Architects to support a growing pipeline of payments initiatives within the banking sector. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in payments and banking platforms, with the ability to shape technical strategy and deliver complex transformation programmes.


Responsibilities



Design and deliver architecture solutions across payments and banking platforms, aligned to enterprise strategy as well as technology standards Provide architectural leadership on large-scale modernization and transformation projects Collaborate with senior business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional, technical, and regulatory requirements Mentor and guide technical teams, promoting best practices in architecture and solution delivery Ensure scalability, resilience, and security in all architectural designs Implement payment systems knowledge into solutions design while applying integration strategies across third party systems and cloud platforms Ensure adherence of solutions to external and internal policies as well as enterprise architecture standards Produce clear documentation while communicating successfully with technical and non-technical audiences

About You

Requirements



Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect in the payments and banking sector Proven track record delivering modernization and transformation projects Strong knowledge of payments systems, platforms, and cards (Amex, Visa, Mastercard) Experience engaging senior stakeholders and influencing technology decisions Deep understanding of industry standards, architecture frameworks, and regulatory considerations in payments Stakeholder management skills with excellent communication and documentation skills Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements
