We are looking for an organised, commercially aware individual to act as a bridge between De La Rue\xe2\x80\x99s Sales, Product and Project Departments and customers. In this role, you will supply knowledge to develop solutions for customers, ensuring all proposals and tender responses are based on a solid solutions platform. You will be responsible for highlighting enhancements to the solution, maintaining De La Rue\xe2\x80\x99s competitive edge. You must maintain an ongoing relationship with the customer and account management team to support new product inductions or initiatives.

To be successful, you must have excellent communication and engagement skills. You should be meticulous in your attention to detail and able to find solutions to problems.

What will you be doing?

  • Work closely with the Sales team to discuss solutions, its benefits and how DLR can solve the customer problem, ensuring they are selling the most appropriate and accurate solution to the customer and provide internal feedback.
  • Establish a strong, trusted, and credible strategic advisor relationship with the customer to help drive continued value of our products and services.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external senior-level management to understand customer needs, maximize retention and growth, and communicate learnings.
  • Drive training for both Customer Solutions and Sales.
  • Work closely with the Bid & Commercial team, working in conjunction with SMEs across the business to help steer the bid stakeholders through the technical aspects of the solution offering, actively participating to achieve the most efficient, suitable solution for the opportunity, taking customer requirements into consideration as well as company objectives.
  • Support the Bid team to drive tender requests through the DLR process, writing and reviewing relevant parts of the tender response and continue to support through tender revisions and customer demonstrations, ensuring requests or changes are clearly understood and are achievable.
  • Schedule and run Technical Review Boards with the Head of Customer Solutions, to ensure the proposed solution is clearly understood and achieves buy-in from all internal stakeholders.
  • Help achieve a streamlined, professional bid response to ensure the final proposal is achievable, and all cost, quality, and timeline risks have been clearly articulated.
  • Support implementation through building strong working relationship with all stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally, driving activity to meet contractual requirements and timeframes. Gain confidence and trust of each customer & partners through strong product knowledge and providing a positive customer experience.
  • Provide knowledge on the peripherals to the solution to enable enforcement of the governance the system provides; e.g., being able to provide information on product packaging specifications & regulations; legislation and enforcement guidance; consumer interaction; industry loophole exploitation & avoidance etc.
  • Ensure customer retention by focusing on customer outcomes and value, improving the solution offering and focusing on best practice.
  • Be the solutions consultant to the Account Managers, attending face to face meetings where required; support the AMs when issues are raised, by providing product and industry knowledge and opportunities to share knowledge through training and problem-solving activities.
What qualifications, skills and experience are we looking for?
  • Experience of government level solutions, supply chain traceability and global regulations and standards
  • Experience of dealing with government customers, being able to engage with authorities and departments to clearly present and demonstrate complex technical solutions and influence thinking
  • Strong technical background with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create solutions for the customer, showing ownership from creation to delivery
  • Ability to clearly present and demonstrate complex solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to travel and work internationally for short periods of time
  • Experience of dealing with customers face to face, with the ability to engage with all levels of authorities and commercial businesses
  • Understand GCC and other Global cultures\xe2\x80\x99 practices and ways of working
  • Must be able to appear credible at all times, be able to think on your feet, and be a keen problem solver
  • Must have attention to detail and excellent listening skills
