Solution Design Manager



If you have seen anything about our story so far, ID Logistics maybe relatively new to the UK market but backed by over 20 years of experience across the globe. We are an ambitious bunch and as the opportunities open to us to grow our UK business we need to expand our Solution Design Team.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Solution Designer, potentially already in a management role or you may be an experienced Engineer looking for that next step. Either way, if you are looking to make an impact on a business and your career we would like to hear from you.

About you



You will have experience working within the 3PL market within a solution design function. You will be able to support our Head of Solution Design to analyse, design and cost optimise solutions for both new and existing operations. You will love to innovate and be great with the detail. This role is the first step in growing our UK based Solution Design function so you will also need a passion for leading and developing people as it won't be long before you have a team.

Key responsibilities:



Defines the needs and resources required to prepare bids and draw up any specifications Work with the client to understand their specific requirements to enable a tailor-made solution Analyse all elements of the operation to maximize efficiency, accuracy and cost-effectiveness Work with any pre-identified suppliers and partners to put together the tender Analyse the client specifications and the data needed to build the offer including elements such as property requirements & customer needs Propose technical solutions and determine the requirements of materials and resource as well as financial requirements Ensure smooth integration of various technologies, improving automation, reducing manual errors and enhancing real-time tracking and reporting Support in formalising the commercial offer Carries out audits of existing activities to support contract renewal Analyses existing processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and where possible reduce costs A focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement within engineering solutions Collaborate across departments such as sales, operations, and project management to ensure any proposed solutions align to the overall business goals and can be practically implemented

Your skills and experience



A strong background working in Solution Design role from a warehouse / logistics environment. A high level of commercial awareness enabling you to support costings of opportunities and bids. Aligns day-to-day activities with broader business goals, recognizing how individual actions impact overall company performance and profitability. Strong Microsoft skills It would be desirable to have experience working with and understanding of AutoCAD and Sketchup or other similar tools Strong communication skills, able to communicate complex technical solutions clearly to clients, understanding their requirements and translating them into actionable designs Proven experience of cross-functional teamwork High level of attention to detail Highly adaptable with a passion for innovation. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, trends and best practices in logistics and warehouse management Proven experience in applying a level of creativity and innovation in applying new solutions or technologies to enhance operational efficiency. Some process optimization experience Previous experience leading project Great communicator with the ability to influence and build rapport with clients Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain solutions and industry trends Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand client needs and provide effective solutions. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 60,000.00-65,000.00 per year
