Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our medical team. The roles are throughout England. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, along with proficiency in medical terminology. As a Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient care and treatment planning.

Candidates need to have Degree or Post Graduate Qualifications from Australia, South Africa, New Zealand or Canada

Duties

Conduct ultrasound examinations to assess various medical conditions and provide accurate imaging results. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs. Maintain detailed records of patient examinations, including images and reports. Ensure the proper functioning of ultrasound equipment, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment. Educate patients about the procedures and provide comfort during examinations.

Qualifications

Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, particularly as it relates to ultrasound imaging. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging. Experience or certification in additional imaging modalities such as CT or mammography is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in medical practice.
