We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our professional culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Enforce strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Collaborate with the Head Chef in menu planning, development, and innovation
Monitor kitchen operations to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
Serve as a role model for team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork
Assist in training new staff members on food preparation techniques and safety procedures
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques
Excellent team management and leadership abilities
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills with the ability to motivate team members
Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles
