Duties
Assist in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to foster a collaborative team environment
Oversee inventory management and control to ensure proper stock levels, minimize waste, and optimize food costs
Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure compliance with health regulations
Support menu planning and development by contributing creative ideas aligned with culinary trends and guest preferences
Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and HACCP guidelines throughout all kitchen activities
Lead shift management duties, including scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring smooth service flow during busy periods
Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely execution and exceptional guest satisfaction
Manage food service operations efficiently while maintaining a focus on hospitality excellence and team morale
Qualifications
Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong culinary skills in food production and presentation
Supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential
Extensive knowledge of food safety practices, inventory control, and kitchen management procedures
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a talent for team management and motivating staff
Background in banquet service, catering, or large-scale event food handling is highly desirable
Familiarity with menu planning, shift management, and restaurant operations
Strong understanding of the food industry standards including dietary accommodations and food handling regulations
Excellent cooking skills complemented by experience in food service management and hospitality environments
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service
