We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression within a reputable hospitality establishment.

Duties



Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet customer expectations and dietary requirements Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation Oversee food production, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all dishes Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage of ingredients Lead by example in cooking and food presentation, maintaining a high level of culinary excellence Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste Support training programmes for junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery during busy periods

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Good organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development and presentation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 32,000.00-35,000.00 per year
