We are seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen. You will assist in maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring food safety compliance, and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests.
You will be responsible for ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to a high quality and provide training and guidance to the rest of the kitchen team. You will be a creative individual who can create seasonal menus and design new dishes, as well as completing administrative tasks. You will assist the Head Chef in both culinary and administrative tasks and deputise in their absence.

Main Responsibilities:
Assist in menu development and creation, bringing innovative ideas and seasonal inspiration to the table.
Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Ensure all food preparation and presentation meet quality and aesthetic standards.
Manage stock levels, conduct inventory checks, and assist in ordering supplies.
Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Support in training and development programs for kitchen staff.
Essential Criteria:
Proven experience as Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management practices.
Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage a team effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.

Reporting directly to the Head Chef.
