We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. You will be responsible for maintaining food safety protocols while leading and supervising kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Ensure all food production meets quality standards and adheres to health and safety regulations.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative dishes that enhance the menu.
Monitor kitchen operations to ensure cleanliness and organisation at all times.
Address any issues or challenges that arise during service promptly and effectively.
Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment as a Cook or similar role.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and food safety standards.
Demonstrated ability in team management and supervising kitchen staff effectively.
Excellent leadership skills with a passion for mentoring others in the culinary field.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
