We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and a flair for food preparation, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. As the Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef/ in supervising kitchen staff, maintaining high culinary standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties
Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring all food production meets quality standards.
Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Collaborate with the Head Chef/Owner to develop new menu items and enhance existing dishes.
Ensure proper inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Help oversee food presentation and plating to ensure aesthetic appeal.
Address any issues that arise in the kitchen promptly and effectively.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Comprehensive knowledge of culinary techniques and food production processes.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
A genuine passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
