We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, kitchen management, and culinary arts. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and leading our team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Duties



Assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards Coordinate food preparation activities to meet service times and customer expectations Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations Enforce food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen environment Support team management by training new staff and providing ongoing coaching to existing team members Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal offerings to enhance customer satisfaction

Experience



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced setting Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food production, and hospitality standards Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service during serving hours Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to commercial kitchens is essential Experience in food service roles such as serving or assisting front-of-house staff is advantageous

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour
