Duties

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications, maintaining consistency in taste and quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Maintain effective communication within the kitchen team and with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food production techniques. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices. Previous experience in supervising kitchen staff is highly desirable. A passion for cooking, food presentation, and providing exceptional dining experiences.
