Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires strong culinary skills, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that all team members are trained in proper cooking techniques and food safety practices. Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Create new recipes and contribute innovative ideas for menu development. Monitor food quality and consistency, making adjustments as necessary. Assist in managing kitchen operations during peak times while maintaining a calm and efficient workflow.

Experience

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
