We are seeking a Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production and presentation.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and presentation standards.
Coordinate food preparation activities to meet service times and quality expectations.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and manage waste control.
Support training programmes for new team members and ongoing staff development initiatives.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
Strong background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques.
Excellent team management and leadership skills to motivate staff effectively.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Extensive restaurant or hospitality experience, demonstrating versatility across various culinary styles.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
