Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our esteemed culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef & Senior Sous Chef by overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to demonstrate leadership skills within a vibrant hospitality environment. The Sous Chef will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, managing food production, and assisting in menu development to delight our guests.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing diverse menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste. Support the team during busy service periods by actively participating in food preparation and service when required. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any issues promptly. Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation across various cuisines. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively. Solid understanding of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management. Previous experience working in restaurants or hospitality settings is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure. Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative menu development ideas is advantageous. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 34,000.00-35,000.00 per year
