We are seeking a skilled Pizzaiolo/a to join our team and contribute to our commitment to quality and excellence. The role involves preparing ingredients using traditional techniques for Neapolitan-style pizzas, including working with a sourdough starter and high-hydration dough. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing toppings, sauces, dressings, and desserts to our exacting standards. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen - as well as occasional customer-facing interactions - are also part of the role. Knowledge of food hygiene and safety is essential. Ability to run a service in absence of head chef, deal with ordering and suppliers, stock rotation and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare high-quality Neapolitan-style pizzas
Utilise traditional techniques for dough preparation and baking
Ensure consistency and excellence in taste and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Assist in occasional customer interactions and deliver exceptional service
Collaborate with the team to uphold our reputation for excellence and manage the kitchen team in absence of head chef.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential
Passion for learning and developing skills in traditional Neapolitan pizza-making
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
