We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality and service. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow during service Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, including cooks and junior chefs, fostering a positive team environment Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency Lead food preparation activities, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes in accordance with recipes and specifications Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas Assist in menu planning, development, and innovation to keep offerings fresh and appealing Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock rotation efficiently Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and report any repairs or issues promptly Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent customer service

Requirements

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment Extensive experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management Solid understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations Previous care home experience Knowledge of culinary techniques across various cuisines is desirable Experience in menu development and innovation is advantageous
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15.50-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
