We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standard and served promptly
Lead food preparation activities, including cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage inventory control
Support staff training programmes to uphold service excellence and culinary standards
Serve as a key point of contact during shifts, resolving any operational issues promptly
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation
Demonstrable leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced setting
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality environments
Prior restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a solid understanding of culinary techniques and service standards
Experience in serving customers directly or overseeing service operations is advantageous
Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
