We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency and adherence to food safety regulations
Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and place orders as needed
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety standards
Support training of junior staff members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of culinary practices and hospitality standards
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
