We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, and leading the kitchen staff.
Duties
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency.
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Participate in creating innovative dishes that reflect seasonal ingredients and trends.
Experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
Strong supervisory skills with a focus on team management and leadership.
Previous experience in hospitality is essential, with an understanding of customer service expectations.
