We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef with the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that high-quality dishes are prepared and served efficiently. Duties

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed, maintaining proper stock levels. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes. Monitor portion control and waste management to optimise kitchen efficiency. Participate in the serving of meals during peak hours, ensuring timely delivery to guests.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential. Excellent leadership abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive work environment. Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continuously learn and improve skills.
