Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Head Chef to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Duties



Head Chef responsibilities planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high team morale. Oversee food production processes, ensuring dishes are prepared to specification and served promptly. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste. Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained in excellent condition and report any faults or repairs needed. Support in training new team members and providing ongoing coaching to existing staff. Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Assist with the organisation of special events or catering services as required.

Requirements



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of restaurant operations, hospitality practices, and serving procedures. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of food production processes and quality control measures. Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction.

You must have hygiene certificates and be reliable pay per hour is dependent on experience and will be reviewed once proven. Typical working hours are 14:00-22:00 mon-thurs and 11am-finish fri-sun but may vary

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week

Work Location: In person
