We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef possibly looking to move into a head chef role The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising kitchen operations, menu planning, ordering, health and hygiene compliance.

Duties
Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation requirements
Support the supervision of kitchen staff, including trainees and junior team members
Help coordinate food production processes to ensure timely service during busy periods
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
Oversee the organisation of ingredients, supplies, and equipment within the kitchen
Contribute to menu planning and development alongside the head chef
Assist in training new staff members on food safety procedures and cooking techniques
Serve dishes to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Previous experience in food production, restaurant service, or hospitality is advantageous
