Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring. Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes. Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations. Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery. Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently to minimise waste. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operated safely. Support during busy service periods by preparing dishes as needed and serving customers when required.

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential. Knowledge of food production techniques and culinary trends. Experience in serving customers and maintaining high standards of hospitality.
