Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our Marco Pierre Restaurant - Kitchen Team. The successful candidate will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to develop leadership skills within a vibrant hospitality environment. The Sous Chef will play a vital role in supervising kitchen staff, managing food production, and supporting the overall success of our restaurant. Salary can be discussed at interview and probation period will be set, also gratuity share will be added onto wages each month.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service. Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met. Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen controls. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Support training programmes for junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a supervisory role within a busy kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques. Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Extensive kitchen experience with thorough knowledge of food safety standards. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure. Good understanding of hospitality operations, including serving procedures. Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential. Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
