The Scarecrow consists of our restaurant, lounge and bar. We host regular live music and events including our all day brunch events.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen working with our Head Chef to ensure the kitchen is running efficiently and overseeing the management of the kitchen in absence of the Head Chef.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Overseeing the kitchen and contributing to the development of the team. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all customers. Collaborate with other kitchen and front of house staff to ensure timely service Assist in ordering stock & inventory levels.

Skills

Proven experience in a similar role Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail and quality assurance. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation. Leadership skills
