Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and passionate chef to join our ever expanding kitchen team.

Experience in producing dishes using fresh local ingredients in a fast pace environment with a minimum of 2 years experience is essential.

What are we looking for?



An enthusiastic chef who has a real passion for food. Minimum of 2 years previous relevant experience within a busy fresh food kitchen. Previous experience in preparing pub classic food as well premium gastro-pub dishes. Passion for cooking and exceptional service standards with attention to detail. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure and be flexible. Ability to run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.

Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Support the kitchen team in various tasks, including cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes. Help supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods. Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and ordering supplies. Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.

Qualifications



2 years previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant/pub environment is required. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities. Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service. A passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn from experienced chefs. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
