Duties



Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and production. Supervise and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service. Oversee food safety practices, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Coordinate food orders, stock levels, and inventory management to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and presentation standards. Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, appearance, and consistency. Support team management by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times. Assist in serving customers when required, ensuring excellent hospitality standards are upheld.

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant environment. Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food production and preparation. Demonstrable team management and leadership abilities. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards. Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on quality service delivery. Strong cooking skills across various cuisines and techniques. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. Previous experience in food service roles such as serving or assisting in high-volume kitchens is desirable.
