Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to join our new venture.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and extensive kitchen experience.

As a vital part of our kitchen management, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and supporting the development of junior staff.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment and further develop your culinary expertise.

Responsibilities



Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow and high performance. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control. Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage practices, in compliance with health regulations. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times. Support in developing new dishes and innovative culinary techniques to enhance menu offerings. Ensure all food preparation meets the restaurant's standards for quality and presentation. Assist with serving duties during busy periods or special events as required.

Qualifications



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive food production and culinary experience, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively. Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development. Previous experience in restaurant operations or similar hospitality roles is highly desirable. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
