Duties
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff management.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Participate in food preparation and cooking, demonstrating excellent culinary skills.
Ensure all food production meets quality standards and is prepared in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimise waste.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene practices throughout the kitchen.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating innovative dishes.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
Previous experience in managing kitchen operations is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
