We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. As a vital part of our kitchen operations, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing daily food preparation, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
Coordinate food production activities to meet service deadlines and customer expectations
Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Support in menu planning and development, offering innovative culinary ideas
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Serve as a role model for team members by demonstrating professionalism and excellent culinary skills
Experience
Proven Supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive Food production and Food preparation expertise
Strong Team management skills with a focus on leadership and motivation
Solid Kitchen experience encompassing Cooking, Food safety, and Restaurant operations
Knowledge of Hospitality standards and Serving procedures
Demonstrated Culinary experience with a focus on quality and presentation
Previous roles involving Food safety compliance and high-volume food service are highly desirable
