The Corner House Canterbury, renowned for its seasonal British cuisine and exceptional dining experience, is looking for a Sous Chef/ Junior Sous Chef to bring excellent cooking skills, creativity, strong understanding of food safety practices and leadership to our kitchen team.

Your Role:

Take charge of both hot and cold sections with confidence and precision. Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. Lead and inspire junior team members during service. Collaborate with senior chefs on menu planning and seasonal specials. Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed meticulously. Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
What we're looking for?

Previous experience in a similar style of kitchen with a focus on refined, seasonal cuisine. Proficient in cooking techniques and food preparation methods. Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management. Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership qualities with a passion for hospitality and culinary arts. Good communication skills to foster teamwork within the kitchen. Creative mindset for developing innovative dishes that delight customers.
