We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our professional culinary team. Duties
Assist in the preparation and presentation of a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Supervise and support kitchen staff, including cooks and food production teams, to ensure efficient operations.
Manage food safety standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies.
Oversee daily kitchen activities, including inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies.
Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the kitchen environment.
Collaborate with the head chef to develop new menus and optimise existing recipes.
Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of taste and presentation.
Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure excellent customer service.
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse kitchen team.
Demonstrable experience in food safety practices and compliance with health regulations.
Previous kitchen experience in a professional restaurant or hospitality setting is essential.
Knowledge of food service operations including serving procedures is advantageous.
